I have a 2026 2-door and I was looking for the main battery location, I found the smaller battery in the back but I can’t find the main battery.
Is there another panel to lift up once you can see the small battery?
I don’t have a problem but just curious to find it.

So, you're saying they have two batteries? Haven't most batteries been in the trunk for a long time? AI says the trunk.

I know my Challenger and 300 had them in the trunk, but when I lift the cover up in the rear I see the small battery and the sub woofer. I’m wondering if that panel has to be removed also, but you need to remove screws to get that panel off.
I’m showing the front spot to jump start also, the cover is off.
And yes I’m assuming like my wagoneer it has 2 batteries, the smaller battery is for the stop/start.

I have never seen a car with two batteries though, have you? Why would that be there? Very odd indeed. I know the EV's had an auxiliary battery though. If you can get that part number that ends with AA, run it and see what it comes back to.

I did google the 229AA and nothing comes up, 228AA does come up but is not available which I think the 229 replaced it.
Here’s a pic of my Wagoneer Hurricane SO, you can see the smaller battery behind the big battery which is used for the auto start/stop.
The Hemi E-torque also has a 48 volt battery behind the rear seat and it charges the 12 volt battery because the E-torque has a generator instead of an alternator for the auto start/stop feature.

My BMW has 2 batteries. I was told the reason was that one is for starting the vehicle and the other one is to maintain all of the electronics while the car is parked. All cars have gotten more complex in the past few years.

If you zoom in on the positive cable to the big battery you can see a small fuse holder taped to the positive cable.
I wonder if that was an after thought and what it controls, imagine diagnosing if that fuse blows🤔
