Hey, was reading post on social media that a person with a six pack had his check engine light come for low oil. I guess the car only had 2 1/2 quarts in it. I checked mine and it was only 3/4 full. Anyone else seen this?

Mine was 1 bar from full.....it will be ok dont wait 3000 miles to get an oil change anyway. Im gonna get one between 1000 to 1500. Gets all the new engine metals and all out from the break in period

OP, have a link? Did you get a yellow or red warning light? Where on this chart? Screenshot (30).webp

Will they cover that for you or on your own?

A lot of them have a $225 charge on the window sticker for "My Flexcare", which is the new warranty name. One story said this is for three oil changes. Anyone confirm this and if it's optional?

That’s indeed a 3 oil change package, I got one too

Mine was not full either. I think one bar from full, but will have to check again. Why would they under fill these other than to save cash anyone got any ideas… maybe dealership supposed to top off before delivery to customer?

We really have no idea what the bars mean. Is it the same sitting over night as driving it? remember the "old" gauges that were non-linear?

Thanks for the heads up will check when I pick up my new car Thurs. later RJD

Geez, I hope I don’t have engine metals in my oil!

All new motors will have a small amount of metal from the break in period.... transmissions too. It's normal. That's why a lot of us do the first oil change way sooner than recommended.

Yep I'll be getting mine change at 1000 miles. Have always done that of course years ago they had break in oil and you had to take back to dealer at 1000 miles. Later RJD

You must be an old timer huh? The newer engines are made a lot better, so we no longer need the break-in oil dumped right away.

Has everyone paid that $225 for "My Flexcare Service"?
