Wassup yall, new to the forum. Coming from a 2023 Charger Scat Pack Plus NB. Just a few general questions about the new sixpack and transitioning.
1. The main thing im taking note of when watching reviews is people saying that from a roll the new sixpack takes a while to pick up in speed/power, how noticeable and/or true is this in reality? Im still used to the old scat catching speed pretty fast after the pedal hitting the floor so I was just curious
2. Anything anyone noticed (good or bad) that stood out to them from coming from old gen scat to new gen sixpack scat? Really trying to get an idea of what to expect because im having my doubts here and there based on reviews
3. Whats yall MPG currently? In my old scat i averaged 16-19 in the city (i dont drive too crazy)
4. Anything I need to pay more attention to maintenance wise coming from a V8 to twin turbo I6? Had my old scat for almost 3 years and besides oil changes and tires I never had ANY issues. No check engine lights, weird smells, hemi tick, anything. I custom ordered it and it was perfect
5. How bad/good is the stop and go? Tend to accelerate semi fast from a red light and I was wondering will that be an issue. Ill prolly try to remember to turn that off tho just in case tbh
6. Should I be worried about break in? Ill be flying out to pick it up and driving around 500+ miles back and i read you dont wanna stay in one gear for break in nor drive over 70 mph and ill be on the highway ofc. I picked up my last car maybe 30 miles away and break in was simple

I ordered twice from 2 different dealers, ones scheduled and ones waiting to be, cant wait to see it in person. 4 door bludacris, carbon and suede, demonic red, plus. Preciate any feedback

Hello and Welcome!
I will answer these as best I can for you!
1 - I had a 2015 v6 so no comparison to Hemi, but its got power when you need it. If you keep the RPM's in the mid to high 4 the turbos are spooled and ready to go.
2 - Sorry didn't have a scat before this. :(
3- I sit at 20 even when playing around.
4- Just for any turbo car you will want to let it warm up from a cold start a bit longer so all the oil can get through the turbos as well.
5- I personally hate the start/stop so I just turn it off every time I get into the car. They have a very convenient button for it.
6- With that long of a drive right away I would not use Cruise control the entire time. Try to stay under 70, it's hard with this car. If possible do more side roads just to give that variation. Once your past 500 though I wouldn't worry to much.

Hope this helps! If you have any more questions I would be happy to answer them the best I can!

I mostly have the same opinions as Zaccity on a lot of these, so I'll just chime in with some extra info on a few of them:
1. They might be talking relative to the Hellcat. This car will smoke a hellcat off the line, but from a roll the Hellcat can keep traction (kinda) so it loses out to higher HP rear wheel cars.
2. I also am coming from a '15 pentastar, but the good upgrades are the new interior is amazing, and the car honestly feels lighter because of the sway bar in the rear and the strut tower in the front. I always wanted to add these to my previous Charger, they needed it. The bad: auto stop/start does not belong on this car as a default setting, and the touch buttons on the dash are awful. I am going to do everything in my power to remove these two things when I can.
4. Just as Zaccity says, let the OIL in the turbos warm up. You can drive when the coolant hits temp, but don't hammer on it until the car is fully warm and the oil reaches temp (around 190 I think?).
5. Are you talking about the auto stop/start here? It is frustrating. The car is way too loud to just have it shut off at a stop light. It feels embarrassing. Tbh I'm sure it functions fine, I know the mechanics behind how they work but I've never let it start my engine back up for me, I always turn it off. If I ever get stuck in traffic I'm sure I'll turn it on, but otherwise no thank you.

Preciate the response bro. I understand everything pretty well and im loving how its sounding, especially that mpg. Really not looking forward to that auto start/stop bs, highly doubt ill ever use that lol. Ill most definitely keep in mind what you said about the break in, its gonna be a hard drive back because i normally go 80-90 on highways. Ill most def post again or respond to this thread with more questions if i have any. Long time lurker lol

1. The reviews i saw that mentioned that was general reviews (Channels were Raiti's Rides, MilesPerHr, and like one or 2 more i cant remember rn). Im hoping its something exaggerated because the way they were describing it sound like I personally would get annoyed every so often. I wouldnt say im an aggressive driver or anything but I try to maneuver thru traffic when I can when theres gaps and I relied on the acceleration on my old scat alot. Not saying that would be like an everyday issue if it was in general but hopefully you get what i mean
2. Insanely excited for the interior updates bro, it looks insane. Especially cause this would be my first car with carbon fiber. I wonder does anyone know about digital keys? Like i said im already dreading that auto start/stop thing
4. Noted
5. Agreed lol. That first week is gonna suck with no tints also cause I havent seen any sixpacks nor evs in my city yet now thinking about it.

I think you'll find even without the turbos it puts decent power down. If you run it in sport it keeps your revs a little higher so the turbos stay spooled a bit. I want to guess that the engine without the turbos is probably putting down close to 400 hp too-- so compared to your scat it's not far behind. Plus for navigating traffic, I think the improved handling will make up for anything you think it's lacking.
Not sure about digital keys. I thought I saw them mentioned but I didn't see how to set them up. I didn't look into it much though.
It's definitely a head turner. I'm the only one with one in my city for now and people comment on it all the time (all nice things). Can't hit a stoplight without some dumbass in an SUV trying to race me though... Planning to get a radar detector soon 😂

As for the break-in. Mostly just don't hammer on it for the first ~300 miles and try to go a little easy on speed, maybe hit a rest stop or two. You'll be getting used to the new car anyway. Then for 300-500 you should be fine to go whatever speed you want, and feel free to give it a little bit of beans. I was told it's good to start running it a bit harder after 300. Just wait until after 500 to really stomp on it.

Good luck dude and I'm curious to hear your comparison on the power between the two scat packs!

Sounds good bro im mad excited. I live in a college town and had the only scat like mine in the city alr (2023 B5 blue, Red guts, sunroof, unique plate) and ppl were alr tryna race me wherever I went so I know what to expect lol. I really do miss the head turns tho, and like that other thread said the anticipation is killing me. AND on top of everything I got a great deal, i just cant wait. Im guessing the car comes with 2 keys again but i was just curious about the digital keys for extra convienence just because. But trust whenever I get it i will most def update in the forum. Out of curiousity how often does everyone use RWD mode? I love/miss drifting around corners and spinning tires at lights (no real traffic im not an asshole lol)

I have not used it much. I hit a mall parking lot that was all ice an through it in RWD to spin around. Other then that I stay in AWD. I am also in MN though. We are supposed to get another 3 inches tomorrow, sigh. Can't wait for the nice weather so I can enjoy the car more.

Picked up my car in January in NY so I haven't even tried it yet because of the snow/wet. I'll definitely try it at some point but I don't expect to use it much-- maybe when it's time for new tires lol
