In the old days I would agree with you. On new motors I feel like the break in procedure isn't as important.

There are some engines out their according to car manuals that require a break in like my Camaro did. For the most part though most of the break ins imo are for other parts like brakes differentials etc more than the engine now. Most engines seem to be broken in at Factory from what I read/researched.
 
Just wait until there is real tuning available and not just the plug and play boxes that essentially trick the factory computer. This engine is going to blow peoples minds. Get it into something closer to the Mustang and it will be legendary.

Funny, Dodge requires you to hammer it before 1000 miles. Like you said, no more babying it.

And.. first results with the Berger JB4 are in at Setera.
 
The break-in for the truck Hurricane is easy for the first 60 miles, under 50 MPH, then moderately until 300 miles; over 50 MPH. Then, let it rip. Very easy.
