It was the transmission difference. You could get AWD with the Hemi until the much larger 8 speed came along. That was the end of AWD with the Hemi in a car.

Aftermarket has made them for turbo cars for a long time. They used to be called turbo timers. Just for what you said. If you’re hammering it and get to your destination it prevents the super hot turbo from “coking” the oil contained in the turbo.

Who knows. The lightest 6th Generation V8 Camaro is the 2016–2018 Camaro SS 1SS coupe with a manual transmission, which boasts a curb weight of approximately 3,685 lbs. The 5th Gen was quite a bit heavier with the lightest version being the very rare Z28 at 3800.

It’s a brand new car there won’t be anything significant for a few years. I don’t the price is going to go up too much. It’s not like it’s a runaway sales success and the biggest complaint I hear after the weight is the price.
