Has anyone actually seen their HP gauge hit 550 or over 500? I’ve been playing around for a bit and it seems to usually shift a bit over 400 if not sooner. I’m wondering if it’s measuring the crank hp I’d imagine it should hit 500 at least in the HO hurricane.

I’m just over 500 miles today and was thinking it might be computer limited until some mileage is hit for break-in purposes, but still not seeing over 500hp on hard acceleration. It might be momentary and faster than I can see it happening I suppose.

These things are fast and feel very powerful just an oddity that it’s not seeming to hit 500+ on the gauge. Maybe looking in performance pages charts will yield better insights.

Im at 1,000 miles and my performance pages show hitting over 600 on tq and about 500 on hp. I lost my nerve on the top end so dont know its max

Speaking of the HP gauge, my Sixpack Scat Pack power gauge is in Kw. Is there a way to change the units to HP?

You change it in the settings on uconnect. I forget the exact path to it but it’s under settings then maybe display and units, it lets you choose the units for multiple measures. One is kW or hp.

550 is the crank its more like 530ish there is a video of the car on a dyno look for it to explain

Thanks, I found it!

Wow that's not good to hear. Later RJD

All-Wheel Drive (AWD) systems typically cause a 20–25% loss in horsepower from the crank to the wheels, with the additional AWD hardware (transfer case, extra differential, driveshaft) adding a 5–10% higher loss compared to RWD, notes Boosted Mentality. A 500 HP engine in an AWD car often delivers roughly 400 WHP or less.

So If AWD drivetrain loss is 20%:
465 ÷ 0.80 = 581 crank HP

If AWD drivetrain loss is 25%:
465 ÷ 0.75 = 620 crank HP

So my 465 WHP dyno roughly equals about 580–620 HP at the crank using that typical AWD loss range.
