Does anyone have the 18 speaker 18 system in the new Scat Pack hurricane? If so how does it sound and it it worth the upgrade? Thanks

Well I do not have it but I like the system that it comes with and I could not se spending the extra bucks for it as I would not be spending a lot of windshield time. Later RJD
I have it and the main difference I can tell is the sub. Doesnt sound like as high end as a Harmon Kardon but if you like bass (as I do) they it could be worth it.

I like it but if you are a true audiophile then I wouldn't spring for it and build your system aftermarket. I feel like the Sub underperforms. My 2018 Chevy with the Alpine system seemed to have more bass kick and it did not have a sub.
Now in this car im not as concerned for audio as much since I love using the paddle shifters and listening to the engine to shift.

) system, and I am very pleased with it. With some AC/DC cranked up most of the way, it is all I would really want. I have had better systems in cars, but only a couple, and they were very expensive high-end stuff (in a used car, I never ordered one with it).

It is fine to me, you do need to get it up probably 80% to max, but I'm quite pleased with it. I'm 60+ and listen to mainly classic rock/album rock/80s stuff.
I also didn't want the glass roof since another car I had with one, I couldn't enjoy as the driver, and if it doesn't open, I wasn't interested. Plus I LOVE the shape/contour of the steel roof with the lower center. I've had a sunroof in almost every car I had, if it was available, but mainly because I like to open it.
It’s not like having two twelves in the trunk with a dedicated amp, but with the EQ adjusted appropriately, I find the base 9 speaker system to be more than sufficient. It’ll shake the mirrors on bass heavy songs. I don’t have any regrets about not getting the 18 speaker system.
Ordered it also, but still waiting for the vehicle to arrive. Ordered it 05 March 2026.
Yep, I agree. Yes, it could be better, but to me, it doesn't need to be. If it wasn't bundled in the Sun and Sound, and maybe ½ the price, I might have bought the upgrade. But I ordered my car before they existed, and had zero ways of comparing.
Great. I added one 8" and amp to my Charger and it thumps enough more for me.

How long after "In Production" did you get it?
My sales manager believes the American orders might have been filled first due to the higher volume sold there compared to Canada. Speaking of which, are there any other Canadians on this forum?

The Base Alpine in my 16 R/T feels like it has a restrictor plate, I keep hitting max volume with no distortion and it's a pain to upgrade these cars due to the integrated head unit and Uconnect functionality.
I'm happy with the Alpine 18 speaker, if you are one of the "Trunk full of speakers" guys it won't be worth it. Dr Dre pumps up the bass pretty decent for me!! I have triggered my iWatch 90 DB warning a few times now.

I think the upgraded 18 speaker Alpine setup sounds very good. The bass rattles pretty good maxed out. I've delayed installing the two 10 inch subs I pulled from my 2022 scatpack because it sounds great. I'll get them in eventually. For me it's definitely worth it to get it.
I actually bought a Bludicrous base scat pack with a standard stereo system in it and I thought it was decent. I ended up trading that car back two weeks later for another Bludicrous Scat pack plus with all the toys and the one on the lot had the upgraded stereo system for $1700. What a joke. I thought I’d be thumping away and blasting the volume but just to get decent sound. I have the volume cranked up between 3/4 and almost full volume. Really disappointed with the system and definitely not worth the money. My 2009 Challenger RT with the upgraded stereo and level two sound system upgrade with only 368 Watts blows this new charger stereo out of the water. There’s no way it has 900 Watts as advertised.
