Does anyone have any comments on 6 vs 9 vs 18 speaker alpine systems

See this is your first post . Welcome aboard glad to have ya. I have the standard 9 speaker with subwoofer and sound great. Some have done the up grade to the 18 and not real happy about it. There are some good deals out there now. Check around. Later RJD

I can't speak to any comparison between them as I've only heard the 18 speaker. Maybe others on here can, but in the meantime here's my two cents:

The 18 speaker is nice. It's not the best bass from a sound system I've ever heard, and I actually feel like the bass may be lacking a bit compared to the nice big Beats subwoofer of the old models (I know Beats sucks, but that subwoofer had some nice deep bass without distorting).
That's a minor gripe though, and overall the new system is quite nice. If audio quality isn't important to you I'm sure the lower offerings will do just fine for you. If you wanna rattle your neighbors windows then get the cheaper system and put in an aftermarket sub and some extra speakers.

But, if you're like me and think audio quality is important but not important enough to rip your new car apart to upgrade, then go for the 18 speaker system.
