Anyone know of or tried to make the HUD more visible during the day? The sport mode setup with the tach is super cool at night, but during the day you can barely see the tach projection when it’s very sunny even with brightness up.

Side note, the dash reflects off the front windshield quite a bit. Anyone else notice this? Wondering if it’s the ceramic coating the dealer applied to my windshield or if that’s the norm. The attitude adjustment lighting really reflects like a halo on it at night.

I was thinking maybe a special transparent film on the windshield where the HUD projects might fix the daytime issue, maybe like a small box of very light tinting.

Do you happen to wear polarized glasses?

You just answered your own question. HUD is a reflection off of the windshield. Polarizing glasses cut reflections...
Even with them off it’s still not that visible during the day. I don’t see a difference between them on or off, my regular glasses, sun glasses obviously dampen it, but I’m not wearing those too often.

My HUD looks great and bright! Secondly, read my thread about a protective film for fingerprints on the center screen. Those things do cut down the glare big time.

I had my front wind shield tinted and I see the HUD just fine night or day. later RJD

My problem is that I can't get it bright enough to read the smaller text during the day without it being blinding at night, even when it adjusts for night time.
My vision is fine, it's just the combination of the smaller numbers and the more grey font colors that are hard to see.
I wish you could adjust day and night brightness independently or customize the font colors or something.

Your tint patch idea would theoretically help, but just a heads up it may not be legal, depending where you are.

The tint is legal here. Works great and also helps keep the car cooler. Later RJD
