Ignition On

Thanks. You're main battery or auxilliary?
This is confusing me. I initially thought the SixPack had 2 batteries, a main and aux and I don't recall where I read that. I then went looking for proof of that and I can't find any. Google's AI says there is one under the hood washer bottle area if you ask about the main battery, but if you ask about both main and aux it claims only the one in the trunk. Are there 2 batteries and where are they and how are they arranged in terms of charging off alternator or jump pack etc?

It does have two, and AI is very wrong as usual. The main fuse box and terminals are under the hood for jumping, but both batteries are in the trunk.
The main one is on the driver's side and the problematic aux battery is under the "floor" in the trunk

Yep this battery is known to fail as they got a bunch of bad batteries. EVs had a lot of issues with this also. Later RJD

So the main battery is also in the trunk? Any pics or description of under which panel?
I also noticed what appears to be a disconnected drain or battery breather tube. In the picture its disconnected end is just above the aux battery in the trunk. I don't see/feel any connector for this on the battery. Anyone know where it should be attached? The other end appears to be a drain through the trunk floor.

Your main battery is off to the left in your pick (Driver side.) Behind side panel. As far as the drain tube I'm guessing it may attach under the battery tray Later RJD

Here's another photo from the same discussion by member 2026AfterDark. It shows locations of both batteries. Everyone in that discussion was confused by the 2 batteries but finally figured it out.

Now if someone can explain the purpose of having 2 batteries?
Are thy wired in parallel or independent of each other?
If one goes bad do both have to be replaced?
Does charging using the remote jumper/charge posts under the hood charge both batteries?

This had been discussed before about the smaller 12 volt battery. Purpose is for interior lighting and other functions of lighting and u connect plus the S/S function. Later RJD

Based on the pics shared it looks like that should plug in to the passenger side of the aux battery near the top corner. As for what it is, I have absolutely no idea.
