Paint Scuffs/Chips etc

What do y’all do about nickel/dime and smaller scuffs from rock chips etc? I’m not sure I’m qualified to try and touch these up myself and I don’t really want to go into a shop for something this small , just one or two, or know if these are cheap to repair?

Had a dump truck throw a golf ball sized stone at me on the highway the other day … hit the front passenger bumper and skipped off the glass roof.

Luckily the glass roof didn’t break, but definitely lost some paint, no dent, on the bumper. Any thoughts?

Also anyone know what kind of force the glass roof can take, I thought for sure it was gonna rain down on me .

There are some companies that sell touch up pens with the factory paint in them. That's what I would start with if you don't want to take it into a professional.

I’m aware of the paint pens, but I’m afraid it’ll just look like I globbed some on the paint and it’d look worse. I’ve never tried to use one before after seeing some major fails with them.

I've seen some really good jobs where you have to look super close to tell. Guess it just depends on the technique. I'd check out some youtube videos for some how-to's and if you don't feel confident just take it to a body shop and have them do it. They can probably knock it out while you wait.

A little practice by not getting a lot of paint on the brush and lightly cover the scratch. Once I have the spot covered I wait a couple days then take a light rubbing compound go over lightly around the area and part you touched up to smooth and blend, then wax. Later RJD
