Speed in Car Wash

You’ll be hard pressed to damage your wheels washing it at home. I’ve already waxed my car twice and applied ceramic coating. It’s slick as butter.
Yep so true but I no longer can do my own wash of car. One dose not need to go through a car wash to damage the wheels as the car is so long miss judge a turn and bingo ask me how I know. Later RJD

My local wash has those foam "fingers" as opposed to brushes. Secondly, the tire guides are coated and have not left any marks yet on my 11" wheels.

Yeah the speed sign memory is a nice feature when it works. It seems to work as CTMEO says, and when it doesn't have a sign then it defaults to some database (likely the gps map data).
It will tell me that the speed limit is 55mph (correct) on one side of the road then later when I drive back it will say it's 30mph (incorrect) because it didn't see the sign as I turned onto the road.
What!? The car is looking at speed limit signs with a camera? I figured those speed limits were coming from the navigation or something like how Google Maps has them. 🤔

Yeah, I actually wish it used Google maps but it uses the built in nav as a backup and a camera as the primary. The nice part of this setup is that it will pick up temporary signs (like work zones)

Doesnt matter what type of brush they use, if a car/truck goes through there caked in mud and sand, and you go through next you're gonna get swirls on your paint.

Well drag racing sure does not help keep your car in its prime. :) Later RJD

I will say a good ceramic coat helps stop the swirls, but I also imagine regular automated car washes wear down the ceramic coat faster, thus, more frequent ceramic coating needed.

My Red Oxide Dodge looked like 💩 pretty much right away as the dealer didn’t put a ceramic coat on it, but my Velvet Red Jeep with ceramic still looks like butter and it gets abused by the auto wash. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
