I think we're come to the conclusion that it doesn't actually turn on much, right? I researched older threads and found most people were turning it off for no reason. Any updates where we KNOW it's on and working? I'm about to flip 300, so I can finally drive more aggressively.

I generally turn mine off but the few times I've forgotten it did work. At a red light, for example, the engine would stop.

Mine goes on usually like clockwork if I'm at a complete stop at a red light. So, I tend to hit the button to turn it off. That's the one thing I love about my Challenger, no Start/Stop!

You will find during hot weather with the air on it will not activate the start/stop. If you leave off with no air it will activate. Later RJS

You guys actually know the engine stops? Everyone that that until they started to watch the tach.

I mean have people actually seen the engine shut off at stop lights, or whenever, showing that it is working. There are SO many conditions that have to be met first. I've tried everything and never saw mine engage.

Turn off your air. Mine did it this am as I forgot to disengage . Full stop. Later RJD

It 100% turns off the entire engine. I use it daily when I am just driving. I have gotten used to it. But once I am in sport mode I turn it off.

No? I mean, mine does it all the time if I forget to turn it off. The car needs to be happy with the engine/cabin temps, and you need to push the brake far enough. For me, it mostly happens when I pull into a parking space if I forgot to turn it off.

I'm people, and my reasoning:
- My car is loud, it sounds stupid when it stops and starts randomly.
- Most often it turns the engine off as I pull into a parking space, then I shift into park, the engine starts, then I turn the car off. Absolutely dumb.
- I live in an city, but not a busy city, so I don't need to be very conscious of emissions and the minor gas savings.
- Sometimes I like to hit the gas hard at stop lights because fun.
