Turbo coolant pump after shutdown

Only time I heard mine is when the temp got to mid 90s. I did not bother to look at gauge. I think you can go into set up on the steering wheel and actually bring up engine temp. Later RJD
You're not talking about engine cooling fans are you?

No, it’s the turbo coolant pump. I had to look it up because I heard it after the first drive home from the dealer. I thought something was wrong with the car. But, apparently, it’s designed to do that to avoid heat soaking the oil in the turbos after shutdown.

You guys can always check the engine and intercooler reservoir tank temp with a gun to see if they're the same. I'll do that later today after I drive mine. Funny, the engine one cap is 21 PSI, and the intercooler one only 5 PSI.

Mine always kicks on and runs after shut off, I’d be concerned if it didn’t. I had an older Volvo T5 I5 turbo that’d boil over if shut off immediately after a hard drive because it didn’t have this feature.

I really don't drive it hard as all in town driving 45 or less short periods, and looked at the temps not bad so unless I really get out on the highway and run it then it will turn on after shutting off. Later RJD
