Adaptive Cruise Control

ACC had mellowed me out a LOT on the highway. With "normal CC" I would get so ticked off at people that can't maintain a speed in front of me. ACC really helps calm that down. Just "go with it" a bit more (a bit...)

I was able to use my ACC yesterday and it doesn't really bother me. It actually slowed down a tad late for me a couple of times, so I used the brakes. The fastest we got was only 50 though.

You can also adjust the distance, so if it's getting uncomfortably close you can set it to back off. I'm not sure which button is which and I like it close, so I haven't messed with it yet myself
As long as the car in front of you is moving away from you, it's actually quite good compared to other ACCs that I have tried. But, if you have a stopped car on the side of the road that you are passing, someone stops in front of you, or if someone crosses in front of you a little too slowly, it brakes obnoxiously early and harder than it needs to.

Top is increase (more lines)
Bottom is decrease (less lines)
There are 3 ranges.

Every car I've had with ACC has been different. I think my Volvo was on the opposite side and reversed like you said. Then my Cadillac (and my older 2012 Jeep with it) only have 1 button that you cycle through distances which means you have to look at the dash to see what it cycled to. Some have had 3 ranges, some have had 4.
