This is the second trip to the dealership. The first visit was for software updates. I had just gotten the windows tinted three days before it broke down. :/ What really caught my attention was both the dealership and the FCA case manager bringing up arbitration on their own. I never even mentioned it. They basically said, “We understand downtime is frustrating, and if you want to discuss arbitration, we can go that route.” That kind of suggests they know this may not be resolved anytime soon.

I understand how buybacks work and I’m still trying to stay optimistic here, but in the meantime I’m hemorrhaging money on payments and insurance while driving the loaner they gave me, a 2019 Renegade with hail damage all over it. The passenger side looks like it got attacked by golf balls. It’s definitely seen some things.

At this point, a buyback honestly doesn’t sound that bad anymore. I like the car but not sure I want the headaches.

What year is your car? Later RJD

The optimist in me says battery issues from the installer having the doors open or car in aux mode or something for a couple hours. Then it probably just sat without a proper engine run to recharge.

I’d be interested in knowing the cause of it not starting.

All electronics in the car work when accessory is turned on but push to start you hear no clicking or engagement from the engine. Nothing to indicate anything is wrong on the dash or health report. Remote start, you will see the screen come on but nothing. Approach the car and tailights come on and other things so electronically/sensors seem to be working just some safety mechanism between the brain and engine is not disengaging I guess to say you're clear for takeoff.

WHY are you still making payments???????? You need to start a complaint against them, so they cover your payments. It used to be in the back of the owner's manual under Customer Care. Be loud, be proud! The dealer doesn't usually want the company to know what's going on.
