Dreaded Check Engine light on after 3 weeks of Ownership

Here is what I found about "Limp Mode" -
In cases where the instrument cluster message indicates the transmission may not re-engage after engine shutdown, perform this procedure only in a desired location (preferably, at an authorized dealer).

• Stop the vehicle.
• Shift the vehicle into PARK (P), if possible. If not, shift the gear selector to NEUTRAL (N).
• Push and hold the Start button until the engine turns off.
• Wait approximately 30 seconds.
• Restart the engine.
• Shift into the desired gear range. If the problem is no longer detected, the transmission will return to normal operation.

Thanks. Saw this info on a new clip yesterday. the guy was give a test car from Dodge and he had this happen. Took a while for Dodge to get the problem solved but sounds like its still happening. Later RJD

OK WTF!! Backing into driveway, RPM just hit 4K and with full brake on, could only go around block after shifting from R to D! Software "Fly by Wire" sucks and I can no longer TRUST this vehicle so hopefully the service appointment Tuesday will stabilize everything until such time I can offload this car and possible wait until things settle out with this new model year and programming!
