Engine noise

I have the same noise and been back and forth to my dealership - they now say the noise is coming from the exhaust actuator's and its normal - I am going back today to pick my car up but will test drive another Scat Pack to see if another car does the same thing

Yes, mine acts very weird upon start-up also. Open, closed, open.......... Then stays open until I'm in 3rd gear. Every time I start it up and drive away. I'm still only at 150 miles too.

As this car has a totally different set up for exhaust you will hear different changes in sound. Once the car is warmed up the sound is a lot better. Later RJD

We have about 5 thousand miles on it now and I have been sending it.. has not gotten any worse or any better.

I am at 1950 miles - I just got back again from the dealership - I test drove another scat pack and it too has the same noise although not as much as my car - the manager said its a normal sound from this engine / exhaust

This happens for me too, but usually it just needs more time to warm up before it quiets down and closes them.

Other than that, sometimes the exhaust just has a mind of it's own if you shut the car off for a short period of time then start it up again warm.
