Lug Nut Torque

I decided to try my new Craftsman torque wrench and I'm glad it's 25" long too! These are supposed to be at 148 ft lbs., and I found maybe 10 under that. A couple were just snug, and the rest maybe 100 or so.

Good excuse to recheck my lugs after the tire change, I have a 40? year old craftsman. Always remember to turn the setting down all the way when done.

I always tighten them enough so I can get them off again. Other than working on my father in law's race car, I have never used a torque wrench on a lug nut.
finger tight, then 2x around in the star with whatever tool I know I will use to remove them in the future.
