Does anyone else have an issue with everytime (well almost) that when you shut the car off it wants to download map updates and needs a wifi connection it does it so so often for me

Mine update at least a couple times a month I’ve noticed, when I pay attention at startup and see the notifications. It does seem fairly frequent…

Mine says “updated maps” though, implying it did it while the car was sitting. I think it uses the onboard LTE or satellite to do it, though, as my car doesn’t have my WiFi info and I pay for the premium connect services that includes the LTE hotspot.

I have not seen this. When I start the car up it turns on Android auto and I have not used the in car Nav. Later RJD

May not be much help but I also haven't seen anything like this yet. In fact, NO indications of any kind of updates occurring whatsoever even though I set it to connect to Wifi.
I don't use the built in maps though.

I never see anything, but I don't go looking for it either. I start it up, and it asks about driver number, and back to my music screen. I'll read the manual now to see if I'm missing anything. ********I just went and looked and had it turned on, but I never see it.*******

Nope never seen that. Later RJD

Ditto. I'll look to see if there's an adjustment for that. Try under "Vehicle settings, System Info, Software updates, Software updates over Wi-Fi, or automatic update preferences and see if you fins anything.

I know this sounds condescending, (I promise it's not supposed to) have you tried doing what it says? Wait till your home and connected to your wifi, then click update?

Oh dont worrie I dont take anything condescendingly and yes I hook it up to the wifi and it says updating so I leave the car on accessorie and let it go sometimes it finishes and it disappears for about 3 to 4 days the comes right back or doesn't finish and every time I get out of the car it asks me this constantly.

This is different than what I’d been getting. Mine is a pop up like the profile thing on startup and just says that maps were updated.

Weird. Note to self: Don't accidentally open the built in maps so I can avoid this lol

Have you downloaded the "Radio" manual yet from Dodge? There's a lot of "Update" mentions in that.

This is what I found when looking for this. I hit update, it scanned, then stopped. Is your map this version or newer?

Is this something you had to pay extra for? A few years back you had to pay for the up grades . Did it once and really was disappointed as all they add is newer streets and never updated older version to add in a road change. So I'm not really interested whether it up dates or not. Later RJD

No, Dodge Connect One is free for 10 years.
****Enjoy Software Over the Air (OTA) updates, comprehensive diagnostics to track your vehicle health status, emergency calls in case of need, electric features to simplify the charging management (if equipped), and more. Dodge Connect One is included for 10 years****
