Muscle car insurance penalty

I live in Tennessee and pay $1150 each for insurance per year on a 4Runner and 2010 Challenger SRT. My agent went to insure the new Charger with the same company and it would have been around $3200. He got me with Hagerty's for $1230. Amazing.

Is that for a year on the new charger and what kind of coverage. Why is it called muscle car penalty ? Later RJD

I'm old, they charged me about the same rate as my Marauder or 16 R/T
