Yeah it seems be have been a legal requirement to default on, which I think is dumb. I'm not blaming Dodge/Stellantis for anything other than their choice to include the "feature" on a performance car.It would probably be a lot less annoying if it just remembered the last setting rather then defaulting to on every time you turn the car on. Then you could decide how you want it to behave regardless of whether your preference was on or off. There's probably some reason Dodge didn't program it that way. Some federal MPG requirement maybe? That only a WAG on my part
