I'm approaching 300 miles on the odometer and would soon like to see what 0-60's (with and without launch control) she can get.
What numbers have you guys got and in what kind of temps/elevation/etc?

Best I have gotten is 4.0. That was in March in Minnesota. Haven't had a chance to really try again.

I have had difficulty pulling off a full 0-60 on the street, maybe I am not as reckless as my youth. A few runs on non straight road, few invalid readings on Draggy. 4.2 best so far
I was all set to hit the local dragstrip this Wednesday, got up there and.... Closed due to Prepping the NHRA event this weekend. D'oh a few weeks of rainouts in May

Remember when a 4.0 was something only a super car could dream of! That is quicker than EVERY Corvette before 2002, quicker than a first gen Viper as well.

Thnx guys!
The few times I tried it with my Durango 392 it ran 4.6-4.7 in 60-70 deg weather, 4.9 once in 90+ deg weather (best was 4.2 once in 30 deg temps).
The owner's manual for the Charger says break in is 300 miles, so I'll be coming up on that soon.

A LOT has to do with the traction control also. My Cadillac V was perfect! It would scratch a little off the line, then just dig. I'd use that at the dragstrip, then turn the TC off for the higher gears.

Which Caddy V are you referring to?
They make several V series (AWD & RWD).
If RWD, what was your launch rpm using TC?
Could you do 3,000-4,000 rpm launches with TC?

My experience with high hp RWD cars is TC was iffy at best. It either bogged the car off the line or allowed too much wheel spin.
Even on the prepped surface of a drag strip, traction with OEM tires was only marginally better (if any). Slicks/cheater slicks were needed.

*my racing experience was mostly with Mustangs

2016 CST-V and I only foot braked since I only made a few runs with Michelin PS4S. Heck no, maybe 1500???? Even on the street, it was fantastic. I would hammer it, get a little scratch, and just dig. I had to turn it off going up my driveway in snow though. The Charger HC though is another story. I'm not even sure when this one kicks on and it still spins them wildly. I just see the light flashing every now and then and have no idea why.

I haven’t done a real hard launch or tried a 0-60, but according to Performance Pages, at some point I did a 4.9 0-60. Most of my play has been from already rolling. I don’t like to hard launch under 3-4k miles.

CST-V? Is that a new model Caddy? ;)
MotorWeek confirms your experience with great traction on their test of a 2016 CTS-V:
(vid should start with acceleration runs @ 3:00 mark)

DRAGY RUN (VERIFIED)
0-60: 4.28 sec
1/8 Mile: 8.08 sec @ 88.63 mph

(1/8 conversion charts shows that should equal a 1/4 of 12.6 @ 111 mph)
------------------
CONDITIONS
DA 1,865 ft
Sport Mode
Full Tank Gas
Power Brake Start
(not LC)
~50 lbs of tools/equipment in vehicle

p.s. car computer shows I'm getting almost 20 mpg!

Nice! What mileage you at? From my experience and monitoring, the scat pack with HO hurricane makes about 130 less horsepower until north of 2,220 miles.

Just about 4300. Had about a 1/4 tank of fuel. My first time using launch control. That feeling you get when it takes off is awesome. It wouldn’t let me turn on traction control. I’m going to try next time in custom mode.

My best time according to Dragy was 4.28 sec when PP was showing 4.4 sec.
I believe when you use LC the car automatically disables TC, so at that point you can't turn it back on.
