As long as I’ve got ESS off, only thing bugging me at this point, I’m starting to drive the car around in AUTO more. When I first got it, was like 70/30 SPORT/AUTO. Now I’m more like 30/70 SPORT/AUTO.

It still pulls super hard in AUTO once you figure out the throttle mapping/velocity to get it to kick down and it’s just much more chill during my commute. I maybe see 1.5mpg better with AUTO.

I wish I could get the same HUD in AUTO as sport, though.

For daily driving, the normal shifting of auto is more enjoyable than sport holding gear longer—but sound is soooo much better in sport

I use ECO all on a regular basis. What's different in the HUD in SPORT?

I'm loving Wet/Snow mode for regular driving. It's smooth off the line and still has plenty of response when you floor it. Sport and Auto are too gitchy in stop and go traffic.

Interesting, I haven’t tried the wet/snow out. I figured it locked stuff up so tight you’d wear something out, kind of like driving a Jeep with the transfer case in 4x4 on dry pavement, the tugging you get “crow-hopping” if you’re not actually on low traction surfaces.

It doesn't lock the diff or anything. I don't think it will hurt. It reduces HP to 300 and evens out the AWD power split to be 50/50 front and rear. (Sport is 30/70 and auto is 40/60, but supposedly it will swap to 0/100 on the highway sometimes)
I think it's a little silly to use reduced power mode all the time on your fancy high power car, but it's nice that it's there if you need it.
