Did I get a Lemon or just having back luck?

Not to me. Warranty work is paid by Dodge to the dealership. They make money on the repair. And you'd think they would want to gain a customer not lose one.

It took me a LONG time to realize how separate they are even being under the same roof!

Technically, I’ll agree with you. But experience tells me otherwise
From what I've read the larger the city the more scummy dealerships seem to be overall. But that could just be that there are more people in large cities complaining. Statistics can mean whatever you want without details. Either way, I guess I've been fortunate to either have had good luck with dealerships and how they treat me and any issues, but that is honestly few over the almost 40 years of me buying cars. I can honestly say, I have only had 1 car towed in my life, this one. And it has been in the shop for warranty/recall work more than every other car I've owned combined. All in 18 months. But, really only twice for a severe issue. Overall, eh, I thought I knew what I was getting into, and wanted it anyway. Only real regret is price I paid vs 6 months later pricing. And part of the reason is "I know a guy" at the dealership franchise, which has helped take a lot of the sting out of any issues.

where I live out in the burbs of Atlanta we have a great dealer here in town but go 5 miles north to a bigger dealer and service is terrible most of folks that bought cars there bring them to my dealer for service. I can only imagine how bad in may be in Atlanta. Later RJD

Warranty work doesn’t pay as well as shop rate repair. Busy service departments don’t want to take warranty work that they don’t have to, ie: you bought the car there so they’ll accommodate you. A smaller dealer that has a less busy service department could be much more agreeable. My dealer is 2 hours from me. They also have a sister location in my (much larger) town but they didn’t want me to take it there, probably for this reason.

I've never taken any car, ever, to a dealership for anything other than warranty work, oil changes, and PA State Inspections, and only with some kind of deal then.
Anything else, DIY. I can only think of one repair I had done at an independent shop, rear axle seals on the 1994 Caprice I had.
