Died while parking

My R/T Plus is 3 weeks old and tonight I while I was parking at a restaurant it just died. I had pulled just ahead of the parking space then put it into reverse to line up straighter. As soon as I put it in reverse it died. AC was still on. Radio was still on. Screen had that message about putting it in Park iirc. Any ideas what may have happened?

No clue. My only guess was gonna be Stop/Start triggered. It triggers in parking spaces for me all the time, but I would think reverse would start it back up again so likely not that.
Have you had any updates done at the dealer? The car does some pretty sketchy stuff without one of the updates.

Yeah, take it to the dealer. They can check the codes and see if something went wrong, and see if it needs updates. I'm pretty sure every car needs the TCM update otherwise it has issues. They really should do a recall for it or something

When was the build date? Leave the S/S on all the time?

Built 4/30 at 8am. I normally turn it off but forgot to yesterday
