Floor mats

So an update to my review of the floor mats I got. Just in case you have the same situation I ran into. After installing them and thinking all was well, I put a blanket in the back and grabbed my 4 legged partner to go for a ride.As we all know , or should know if you have picked up, your new car, is there are straps sticking out near the top of the front seats on the back sides. So when you open the door and pull up on that strap, it motors the front seats all the way forward to make egress into the rear seat easier. When I pulled the strap, the seat went all the way forward then moved back right away. I tried this a couple of times and thought WTF. It had not done that before so I thought it had to be the floor mats/ seats. It seems they were just catching the front seat right at the most forward position and that slight snag must trip a sensor in the motor or track that sends the seat right on back. So looking close as the seat came all the way forward I could see the floor mat move slightly right where it is molded to fit around the leading edges of the seat track trim. So I pulled out the mats and trimmed them just a bit on both side where they fit up to the track, put them back in and no issues. Easy to trim, just go slow and take off just a bit and they are perfect. Who knew, I hope this help if you have this set or even someone else's.. stay safe
I bought the same mats. Thanks for the heads up, I’ll definitely check that when I pick up my car. I can see how that could happen with how far forward the seat goes. Appreciate you taking the time to post this."

NewYorker,
You are most welcome and I hope it helps "if" you notice its an issue. It took a bit less than 1/4 inch of rubber trimmed off the spots on each mat that fits up against the trim on the front of the seat tracks. Both seats had the same issue the first time I used the tilt forward strap on the seat backs of both seats. Maybe a bit over sensitive but better than catching a child or pet in the opening as they try to get into rear seat of the coupe style! As I make a few more mods I will try to post them as we are all new to this car. I have the dual catch can on the way and am waiting for a CAI to come out. Both of these mods I have already done to my Ram RHO with the same motor.I did install the side extensions with the small winglet at the rear but took them off without driving the car as I realized my wife and dog(for sure) would be stepping on them each time they got in or out and scratch them up. They looked great but I'd have gone crazy as soon as they stepped on them a few times. So a test already of one add on that I now need to sell at a big loss, I enjoy the modding, stay safe

Now that I have my car, I ordered these and will update on the fit. I didn't need the trunk liner at this time......
Looks like a good price compared to the one's I bought but mine came with the rear hatch mat. Mine did have the higher raised lip. Later RJD

I got the TripleAliners from Amazon and they fit fine. $110 shipped.

But you did not get the rear hatch matte correct. Later RJD
No, I didn't want one. This one works just fine........

I have 2 moving blankets laying in the rear of mine. They work good and keep some stuff from sliding, and I can use them to cover/wrap stuff if needed.
On other cars, I like the rubber cargo mats, they really keep stuff from sliding around.

Ended up getting the AIPOIL Floor Mats recommended in this thread. Honestly impressed with the quality of these things. Perfect fit. The back one do have a lip (closest to the driver/passenger chairs) so when the chair moves back it will clip a little but after trying it a few times nothing is getting bent, dislodged, or damaged, but highly recommend.

It's mainly to do with our weak Canadian dollar (which fluctuates around 72 cents to the American dollar).
You convinced me to cancel my Mopar-ordered mats, if for no other reason than the steep price (which I later discovered was because of the extra charge my dealer tacked on).

Further to the above, I just ordered on Amazon the MJBYMAT floor, cargo, and backrest mats for a Cdn price of $212.00, plus Cdn $47.95 import fees deposit, for a total of Cdn $260.05. I can't recall if anyone else on this forum has previously ordered such mats from this American company, and if so, what do you think of them so far?

I assume that your figures are in American dollars? Also, backrest mats (for when the back seat is down) are included in my Cdn dollar total price.

I did not get the back rest mats. American dollars. Later RJD

I got my floor matt via dealership - it took 6 weeks though and fit great - no trunk matt available as yet

The trunk mat is available in Canada, where I live, but I ended up cancelling the complete order (floor front and rear, plus trunk mat) after 11 weeks had gone by and still no arrival at the dealership (not to mention finding out afterwards that the dealership was also tacking on their portion to the price!). I ended up ordering everything from Amazon.

As I mentioned don't know if Amazon is available where you are but I got the front, rear and cargo mat $137 us dollars and they are really nice. Later RJD
