I would take the HO Hurricane or the Hellcat (If I could afford the hellcat) I do not see the 392 V8 as an upgrade in my opinion.

I would see the 392 as being in between the R/T 3.0 and the Scat Pack 3.0. And maybe a lower cost option as well. Make it RWD only, call it the Super Bee like the stripped down Scat Pack Chargers were a few years ago.
And the 5.7 AWD being a SXT or something. Face it, the 5.7 would be a base motor now.

I have a Jeep 392. I had the mufflers removed. I don't race it or anything but it sure sounds good. I get compliments all the time from people saying stuff like "I've never heard a Jeep sound like that!" It really has a great rumble.

That would be hard to turn down.

My SRT 392 Durango sounds pretty awesome. So know what ya mean. The Hurricane engine and exhaust sounds better than I anticipated, but you’re right it’s not quite that .

What I find crazy is that even with “spirited driving” I’m getting over 17mpg in the HO hurricane, the Durango got <10mpg most of the time. I’m only getting like 9mpg in my Wagoneer at the moment.

Took a 100 mile trip today and was showing 21.5. I'm getting around 15 in town. Be interesting to see it gets what the sticker says on trips on interstate. On my 2016 392 at 75mph I would get 26mpg awesome for this car. Later RJD
