Thanks for this, I've been trying to figure this out for a while. Hopefully that main battery lasts a long time 'cause it looks like I'd be a pia to get out of there.
FYI, I think those two little holes above the gas funnel in the pic are designed to clip the gas funnel into, or at least it worked for me. I wouldn’t want to listen to it rattle around back there.I know my Challenger and 300 had them in the trunk, but when I lift the cover up in the rear I see the small battery and the sub woofer. I’m wondering if that panel has to be removed also, but you need to remove screws to get that panel off.
I’m showing the front spot to jump start also, the cover is off.
And yes I’m assuming like my wagoneer it has 2 batteries, the smaller battery is for the stop/start.

After I took that pic and posted it, I saw the holes your talking about and I clipped it in them.FYI, I think those two little holes above the gas funnel in the pic are designed to clip the gas funnel into, or at least it worked for me. I wouldn’t want to listen to it rattle around back there.
The gas funnel?I put mine in the glove box. Later RJD
Yep Not that big easier to gt to. Later RJDThe gas funnel?
Any tips on how to remove that panel?
The fuse off the main positive terminal is a safety feature to prevent reverse polarity damage. It is a requirement (ABYC E-11 Compliance) in marine and recreational vehicle applications where you have similar setups, cold cranking starter batteries for engines and deep cycle batteries for 12-volt DC electronics and inverters for 110-volt AC appliances. Having dedicated 12-volt DC for electronics helps ensure a pure sine wave clean power to these chips and chipsets. If it "blows", you will know it immediately. If you zoom in on the positive cable to the big battery you can see a small fuse holder taped to the positive cable.
I wonder if that was an after thought and what it controls, imagine diagnosing if that fuse blows![]()
If you zoom in on my picture you can see the location of the retaining clips, just yank it off, pull by the clips.Any tips on how to remove that panel?
