New Dealer Rules from Stellantis

Good news. Granted my dealer gave me a way better deal than what Dodge would have charged me but again, that's rare. Too many dealerships screwing costumers over left and right.

It’s not about stopping a dealer from doing their own discounts above manufacturer rebate, it’s about stopping dealers from advertising a price that includes special rebates (recent grad, military), lease rebates under purchase, preferred lender, etc that makes the price look lower than it actually will be. They can only advertise the price as to what EVERYONE gets. It’s a step toward clarity and stopping dishonest tactics. Also they are formally limiting and above sticker to max 3%- meaning no more hellcat $30k over pricing will be allowed 🙂
And if you watch the video, they show a Chevy dealer and a 27 Corvette with an advertised “selling price” then add a $15,000 added dealer markup + $595 nitrogen filled tire 😱, and much more

Yeah just got done watching the entire thing. I know a ton of dealerships in California that will be redfaced over this.

It's about time but I have a feeling these dealers will think of something else outlandish. About a year before I bought my Camaro new in 2020 I toured dealership lots with a checklist each one that had addons or anything like that I crossed them out until I found the right dealer that didn't try to play games. Did this with my wife's Subaru as well and I just finished doing this with dealers for when I do my Charger purchase for 2027. (Had to push it back cause of a procedure and moving to a different part of the county in the Metro)

Back in the day I did a lot of car shopping in and around Olathe KS . Later RJD

I'm not sure if they covered this, but see they RAISED the price of the new Daytonas????????? The theory is they do not want to sell them, but don't want to kill them either??? I'm still stunned by the horror stories out there about them.

Solid state batteries are on the horizon, that will likely be revolutionary for EV's. The administration could change next election, and if it does, there will be government regulation on gasoline engines like never seen before. They essentially have to keep it alive the way I see it.
