Finally got the reflash of the PCM about 10 days ago and the car is running better than ever. I have put on a couple hundred miles and no check engine light has come on yet. I think it could be fixed, at least hoping so. Now another problem has started and that is with the paint. In the area where the front section bolts onto the body and in the rear where the end pieces bolt on the paint is starting bubble up and flake off. It's becoming a mess. Reached out to my dodge dealer and they said it is a known problem with the paint job on these cars, and a TSB is coming out shortly on this issue and a possible entire car repaint may be the only fixes. Not want I want to hear after dropping close to $69k out the door for a Scat Pack Plus with every option. Has anyone else had issues with their paint job in those specific areas?

Not that I’ve seen. Can you upload some pictures? I want to know the exact places to look and what you’re seeing to confirm.

On daytonaowners.com one guy posted about paint coming off on the lower wheel wells. It looked like road rash, but maybe bad paint?

Yes, we need high MP pictures to decide. Get a PPF or anything?

Need pics. So far no issues here. Later RJD

I wish I could say the same. I traded a 2006 low mileage fully loaded Corvette for this car plus a bunch of cash. Every time I try and like the vehicle and start to get happy about it, something else rears its ugly head. Now it is the paint! Before it was a bad tune, got that fixed and now this!

Please upload pictures when you get a chance. I think as a rule of thumb if an issue brought up on the forum can be captured in a picture/video, it should be shared as such. @aceinspp

Otherwise, we might suspect you’re paid by Ford to push folks into ponies 😂. J/K, but please upload a pic as this sounds disappointing and I’m genuinely sorry you’re having troubles. I’ve had a few minor cosmetic issues that really bugged me, but mostly they’ve been made right by the dealership/Dodge.

All the “green machine” cars I’ve seen to date were beautiful with flawless paint jobs. I almost got it myself, but it does seem like a complex color so maybe that’s part of it.

I’m having the same issues. Car just had a reflash to resolve the check engine light problem but 5 days after I bought it last month, I noticed the same paint problem you described in the seam where the front section bolts on. Dealership is trying to get it covered under manufacturer warranty. Pictures are of the right front area next to the hood.

Yes, that is exactly what I have got it. Mine is both the front and rear where those sections bolt on. Let me know what you find out because I am expecting (hoping) Dodge will bear the costs to fix this. This is something that should have been found in quality control before the vehicles were released to the public.

I’ll definitely post updates but I also got the dealership to commit to the repair even if Dodge declines the warranty. Definitely put some pressure on them to do this. We just purchased cars in excess of 60K and referrals and reviews are huge for them in lean times when sales are sluggish across the country.

I would say this is covered under warranty. Later RJD
