Six Pack Dyno Numbers

I’ve yet to see an update on the JB4 progress. Satera tuning is working with Berger to add more sensors to the setup Beta!! Let them work out a good setup. Last I saw was the map 4 hit the 100 hp on the dyno but on the street only a full pull on MAP 2 with shifting issues on map 3

Yep, it needed more tweaking. It is still in the beta phase. I wouldn't trust it yet.

The JB4 is available if anyone dares! I will not be the Guinee pig here. lol

I just watched the install video last night and seems pretty easy.

I’ll be curious if it trips any hidden flags in the PCM that would tip off the manufacturer and dealership like conventional tuning does.

Up to this point I’ve never heard of a BMW tipping off the dealership that the car has been tuned if the box is removed before taking it in for service.

This is 100% the reason I will not be trying it first. With the transmission already having to be replaced I can only imagine my car will be under the microscope.

For sure. Then you know they would be blaming the extra power on the trans issue even if it had nothing to do with it. Too big of a risk right now.

In the 2015 - 2023 Chargers, they can see something but can't read it. If it's a non-dealer entry, they can void the warranty.

It is up to the dealership\manufacturer to prove your modification broke the car. Only then can the void warranty. So even if they can see a obvious change in the system they still have to prove it.

They would be probably be able to see if you disconnected the PCM like with the 15-23 But the JB4 or Diablo Cat6 only connects to sensors. Just don’t bring it into the dealership hooked up. I’m guessing Berger is selling it as a beta as it’s ok to use on map 2

For sure but that comes from real tuning and not these boxes which are basically just tricking the PCM. Will be interesting. I sure wouldn’t do it until you know for sure.

Yes, that sounds nice, but when I read about people being denied warranty work, and don't have a car, that's another story. Mine sat at a dealer for 13 weeks awaiting a part, and that was not fun.

That's crazy! Was it your daily?

Sounds good but it never works that way. Once the manufacturer says no the dealer isn’t going to touch it and I can promise you they aren’t going to spend a bunch of money in court to prove anything.

Every car manufacturer has clauses that say if blah bla or blah is modified then your warranty is broken and all of them are very vague. It will be on you to take them to court to prove it which is rarely worth it. Any engine tuning will automatically void your powertrain warranty if they don’t want to deal with it. Some dealerships are cooler than others but don’t ever count on it.

With that said most dealerships won’t just trash your entire warranty if you modify the engine, just the powertrain portion. So if your windows quit working or something like that then they will still fix that.

Diablo Sport is looking for sixpack beta testers for their new CAT6. It's for the HO only right now. They posted about it yesterday. It's a 70 rwhp increase and has adjustable throttle response and you can disable the annoying start/stop. I'm very interested.

I daily drive mine so I can't be beta testing, but I want this real bad once they're confident enough to sell it! Thanks for the heads up!

isn’t the transmission or transfer case in the scat pack only rated for up to 560ft-lb on torque(can’t remember which powertrain component was the weak link)? I feel like that in itself makes it very difficult to tune these much more aggressively than they already are without breaking something?

Any thoughts on that appreciated, would be cool to break 600hp 🚀.

I doubt they'd cut it that close. An AI search says it's rated to 600 ft/lbs. That sounds more reasonable to me.

I think the problem was for weak motor shafts on the EVs. Which they had issues. Had parts guy at Dodge dealer show me how thin the tubes where. He also had one break. Later RJD
