I damaged one tire at 3500 miles so this forced my summer tire plans. A local chain had the Continental extreme contact in stock and had em mounted up the next day

A early review of my Continental Extreme contact 2 swap. WOW, great tires so far, installed on Friday. Finally hit a familiar downhill increasing radius on-ramp I’ve used for 40 years. The original Goodyear scrubbed at the limit and really didn’t lean. The Continental gripped hard enough to get scary… leaned over and finally squealed with no deflection. Rides good and would need a decibel meter to compare the noise. One downside is like my old OEM Eagle RSA-2 the tread width is one size wider on the Eagle sport

11” like most 315 tire’s Continental is 10.6 , the 315 is 11” but taller just got a good picture and noticed that. I had previously double checked the tire specs before jumping but I was in a pickle of 3 cars and only one working

These cars really need the summer tire option the Extreme contact 2 rated #1 on tire rack. Damaging a new tire sucks now I’ve got three spares for sale also holy mother of god the brake dust!!! 3700 miles

Yeah, in every normal aspect, they're just as good as the Michelin PS4S and a lot cheaper. They're on my current Charger and gripped just fine in torrential downpours over the last few days.

How'd you curb rash those wheels so soon into the car's life?

I've never run 3 Season Tires, and don't purchase cars that have them.
And when whatever All Season tire needs replacing, I just pick a top rated Ultra High Performance All Season tire.

My money is on a pothole. Many roads up north end up being like a mine field and traffic makes them unavoidable. I’ve hit some so big and deep my side mirror popped out of the cover a few years ago and the tire just straight up popped.

10" wheels are a tad wide for the 275 tires also. Even the Hellcat 9 1/2" would scrape with the 275 tires if not careful.

I went into a Touch free wash where you drive in and park and the spray orbits the car. This was an old one with a flat rail on the driver side that I couldn’t see and it cut the tire grrrrrr

I’ve been using snow tires on the R/T we get clobbered every few years in Boston and hills to climb. I’m looking forward to 4 wheel donuts with the Sixpack, already have a spare set of 20x11
