CEL - P0248 - Turbocharger/Supercharger Wastegate Actuator 2 Performance

Holy cow. Good news? When I had one of the first Pontiac G8's, we had to wait for parts coming from Australia!

I'm just hoping they did a proper diagnosis, and they are not just throwing parts at it hoping for the best. Hopefully having STAR involved helps. This 'new' car has already been out of commission longer than my '17 Daytona was in the entire 9 years I had it...

So now they tell me the entire turbo assembly needs to be replaced, as the service manual does not allow for just an actuator replacement. This also requires their top technician to perform because their other techs are not comfortable with doing a complete turbo swap. Now ETA is next Tuesday-ish...I feel like we are getting into Lemon territory. What a nightmare.
