You must be an old timer huh? The newer engines are made a lot better, so we no longer need the break-in oil dumped right away.

Yep I've been around awhile. I realize oil has improved along with the engines but i still change oil at 5000 or less. My 2016 doesn't get driven that much in a years time so I change it every year. Later RJD

Let me look in the manual, but I thought over 7 like in the SRT's.

Yes, 7.5 quarts with filter.

Yep I'll be getting mine change at 1000 miles. Have always done that of course years ago they had break in oil and you had to take back to dealer at 1000 miles. Later RJD

Yeah, I wish they did the same thing now. I think they do it to save money... of course it's also possible that technology has just improved. Better clearances are normal now and synthetics are definitely better oils, so who knows.

Heads up. Took mine in for oil R2 @ 1783. The flex care oil change and tire rotation are counted at the same time. I did not know that so I wasted one of the rotations.

Back in the day I use to change my oil not anymore so I have to depend on dealer for the service. Flex care is $260 for 3 oil changes and three tire rotations. Dealer charges $9 a quart. It would cost $316 with filters for 3 oil changes and tire rotation. It's a good deal. Later RJD
