Paint Job is starting to flake off at 1300 miles and less than two months of ownership

It’s the paint on the front bumper where it meets the fender. I do lift weights a bit.

I wonder if there was a bad batch of paint or adhesion promoter that affected earlier build dates?

I’ll update the thread after my dealer talks to Dodge.

Am I seeing an interference issue??????

You know, the more I’ve considered it, I suspect it may be a fitment/rubbing issue that’s causing the paint to come off the plastic bumpers. Or that plus poor adhesion.

You think those parts of the body/exterior are flexing and rubbing against each other at the joints? That’d be some . Hopefully they just rushed the paint job and something wasn’t baked before the next layer was applied or something, the former sounds like a nightmare.

I'm just speculating. Could be any or all of those issues. Hopefully my dealer gets back to me today and I can update here.

Just heard back from the dealer. They are coming to get my car and drop me a loaner vehicle. They will work with Stellantis to get the repair covered. I'll post updates as I get them.
